 - I have previously researched various ways in which film companies promote thee products through the medium of poster advertisements but another way films are promoted are through different film magazines such as Total film magazine and Empire. The magazines show the brand image and tease the readers into being interested about the film the most anticipated films are usually the ones that star on the front cover this is because the magazine wants to best promote a film that the reader would like to know about. For the big magazine companies it is a rarity that Indie or british films have the spotlight this is because the consumer usually prefers to see a top priced hollywood movie on the cover of the magazine. More recently the most common films to find on the front covers of these magazines are superhero films inspired by the old Marvel and DC comics Such as Ironman, Batman, Spiderman and Transformers this is likely because these magazines satisfy a age range spanning from young children, teens and adults. Below are some examples of Total Film magazine and Empire promoting the superhero films.
